The students should fill the application form and submit the documents along with the main application: passport size photo, last semester mark statement, caste certificate, & income declaration (low-income certificate), Bank pass book, Aadhar card to the scholarship in-charge of the respective department on or before 30th October 2021.

 MINORITY SCHOLARSHIP (UG 01)                                                                        1. Name of the Granting agency:

  • Students belongs to Minority Communities (Christians, Muslims),
  • Annual Income limit of Parents must be Less than 2lakhs, Must have scored 50% and above in the 12th examinations

5) Application Approval Procedure:

Students applying for scholarship for the first time need to "Register" on the portal as fresh applicant, using the icon “New Registration” at NSP Portal URL - https://scholarships.gov.in/, by providing accurate and correct information as per their documents

           FARMAR SCHOLARSHIP (SG 02)                                                      1. Name of the granting agency

  • Kindly submit your Farmer Scholarship Application Form to your Native Taluk Office in the Farmer Scholarship Section.
LABOUR WELFARE SCHOLARSHIP (SG 03)                                                  1.  Name of the Granting Agency:

2. Eligibility:
  • Parents Monthly Income With in Rs.10000 per month
3. Necessary Documents:
  • Labour welfare Card-Original.

CHILD LABOUR SCHOLARSHIP (UG 02)                                                              1. Name of the Granting agency:
  • Post Matric Scholarships under Ministry of Labour & Employment
2.  Eligibility
  • Scheme for Award of Financial Assistance for Education (Scholarship) to the Children of Beedi Workers
  • Either of the parents of the students should be Beedi, Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Ore Mines, Limestone & Dolomite Mines, Cine worker with atleast six months service. This also includes Contract/Gharkhata workers also.
  • Total monthly Income of the Worker’s family from all sources should not exceed as under Rs:10000

  • Copy of the Identity card of the worker (Form Register Number in case of Mine workers).
  • Copy of front page of Bank Pass Book or Cancelled Cheque(which should contain details of the account holder/beneficiary)

Application Approval Procedure
  • Scholarship application Forms are centrally printed and supplied to the Educational Institutions by the District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Officers in the districts.  The eligible BC/MBC/DNC students can therefore easily obtain the Scholarship forms free of cost and resubmit the filled in application forms directly to the Heads of Educational Institutions.(Website: http://www.bcmbcmw.tn.gov.in/welfschemes.htm#Free%20Education%20Schemes%C2%A0 )
DON BOSCO SCHOLARSHIP (PO 01)                                                                          I. Eligibility Criteria (Must fulfil both the following criterion A AND B)                  A. The Applicant must fulfill ANY ONE or MORE of the Following:                                                                  

1. An Orphan (or) Semi-orphan

2. Abandoned by the parents and looked after by a Guardian

 3. Srilankan Tamils residing at Rehabilitation Camps

 4. The first graduate from the family

5. Economically (or) socially poor

AND                                                                                                                                B. The Applicant must fulfill ALL of the following:

1. Must have scored 70% and above in the 12th examinations

2. Should be interested in studies and complete the course

3. Should not have availed any other scholarships

4. Should be the current student of Don Bosco College of Arts and Science,   KeelaEral

II. The Scholarship Amount

50% of the Total Annual College Fee of the college only, which does not include the hostel fee, bus fee or any other fee. It will be paid in two installments, one per semester.

III. The Necessary Documents:

1. Copy of Aadhar Certificate

2. Copy of Death Certificate of Parents (For Orphans and Semi-orphans only)

3. Copy of Income Certificate (Must be less than one year from the issued date)

4. Copy of Community Certificate

5. Copy of SLR Camp ID card (For Srilankan Tamils only)

6. Copy of HSC Mark Statement

IV. Last Date to Apply:
  • Don Bosco Scholarship has to be applied once a year, at the beginning of every academic year.
  • The last date for application is usually the 30th working day of the academic year.
  • The exact date is intimated by the Scholarship cell.
V. Selection Procedure:
  • All the received applications with the supportive documents are scrutinized by the Scholarship Cell and the valid applications are forwarded to the Secretary through the HoD and Principal
  • The Secretary examines them carefully and may arrange for family visits to identify the most deserving candidates and finally he selects the students with the help of his council.
  • 20 deserving students per year are selected and awarded the Don Bosco Scholarship. Depending on the available of the resources, the management may increase the number of awardees.
  • The scholarship is meant for one year only and it has to be renewed, if the student needs it again.
  •  The amount will be paid to the college account only and no cash will be given.
DON BOSCO PAST PUPILS SCHOLARSHIP (PO 02)                                                                                Name of the Granting agency:

  • Hod will give the information to the students
  • Management will scrutiny the application and grant to the deserving student.
JINDAL SCHOLARSHIP (PO 03)                                                                                  1) Name of the Granting agency:
  • Sitaram Jindal Foundation
2) Eligibility
  • Graduate Courses Like: 1. B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., BFA, BCA, BBA, BBM, Bachelor of Business Economics/Finance, B.Sc. (Ag.), BVSC Integrated course of 5 years (first 3 years will be treated as graduation course) 
  • Eligibility Percentage of marks Girls above 50% , Boys above 55%
3) Necessary Documents
  • Photocopy of Marks Card of last examination passed.
  •  Photocopy of SSLC/HSC Marks Card. (If it does not contain date of birth, any other proof of date of birth to be submitted, additionally).
  • Photocopy of Income Certificate
  • Certificate regarding annual fees as per Annexure-VIII.
  • For hostellers, a certificate from the Warden or owner of private accommodation as per Annexure-IV or Annexure-IX as applicable.
  • For physically challenged, certificate from competent authority.
