National Seminar

The Department of Computer Applications, Don Bosco College of arts and Science, Keela Eral, Tuticorin, organized a National Seminar entitled “ Emerging Trends & Future Computing Technologies” on 25 February 2019. The Seminar started at 9.30 am with the inaugural ceremony at the college Auditorium where the honourable Secretary of the college Rev. Dr. Amala Jaya Rayan did preside over the proceedings. The Seminar was started with a welcome note by Prof. M.Sivasankari followed by the presidential address of Rev. Dr. Amala Jaya Rayan, in the presidential address, he stressed the need and relevance of Computing Technologies, the main theme of the seminar in today’s world. Dr. Pious Missier, the principal and Prof. V. Parvatha , HoD of Department of Computer Applications gave felicitations and the inaugural ceremony was concluded with the vote of thanks by prof. S. Krishnaveni The first session began with the keynote address by Prof. Kevinson Kurian, Associate Professor & Head, Department of MCA, Don Bosco College, Angadikadavu, Kannur, Kerala, on the topic “Agile Software Development”. In his exemplary and vibrant way of presentation, gave a detailed account of Agile Software Development. The Second session started with an invited talk by Dr. K. Balasuramanian, Department of Computer Applications, PSNA College of Engineering & Technology, Dindigul, Tamil Nadu,on the topic “Advanced Programming Using MatLab in Research Perspective.” his lecture was followed by an interactive session where the participants too actively contributed. The afternoon session was started with the invited talk by Fr. Joseph Charles, Research Scholar, Gandhigram Rural Institute, (Deemed to be University), Dindigul, titled “Research Scope in IoT.” In his well-crafted lecture, he categorically explained about the Research Scope in IoT. The seminar witnessed more than 150 participants from various reputed Colleges and Prof. S. Alwin Christopher proposed the vote of thanks to the Management, Conveners, Faculty colleagues, organizers and student volunteers. The Audience felt more positive, motivated and wiser by the end of the seminar.
